application process

Signing up to be a participating business is easy – just follow the steps below.

  1. If you are interested in becoming a participating business with the Privileges program, the first thing you should do is register your interest. You can do this by emailing us or calling the Privileges Office on (02) 6161 1999.
  2. A Privileges staff member will contact you to make an appointment to discuss becoming a participating business. In this meeting, our staff member will give you Privileges background information, terms and conditions and answer any questions you may have. Our staff member can then help customise an offer that maximises your benefits as a participating business.
  3. If an offer is agreed to during this first meeting, or in a follow-up meeting, a "potential business application form" is filled out. This form collects your details and outlines the proposed offer.
  4. At your next meeting, an agreement will be presented for your approval and our staff member will get details for your complimentary membership card.
  5. Approximately one week later, our staff member will organise a time to give you your Privileges sticker to be displayed on your window, your complimentary Privileges membership card and a staff information sheet with details about the Privileges program and how your offer works. This visit is an opportune time to train your staff on how to process and handle the card. Our staff member will be happy to answer any questions you or your staff may have about processing the Privileges Card.
  6. Your offer is uploaded to the website and included in the following month's electronic newsletter. Your offer is also included on the monthly update sheet that is sent out with any new or renewing memberships. It will also be included in the next edition of the Privileges directory, published annually and sent to all Privileges cardholders.
  7. Four weeks after signing up the venue (and after it has been promoted in Enews), a Privileges staff member will call or visit you and your staff to see how everything is proceeding. We will take a note of any issues that need to be resolved and develop a plan to address them.
  8. Privileges encourages you and your staff to call anytime, should you have any problem or query about the program.
