signing your privileges card

Your Privileges Card features a signature panel, membership number, and an expiry date.

Please sign the panel on the back of your card before you start using it. Your card is invalid if it is not signed.

your privileges card is for your use only

Your card is not transferable and participating venues reserve the right to see other documents containing your signature (for example a driver's licence or credit card) to verify you are the person to whom the card was originally issued.

expiry date

If you have a short-term card, it comes with the validity period clearly marked on the card.

If you have a 12 or 24 month card, it expires at the end of the calendar month shown on the card. Your card is invalid if the date is not evident, or is tampered with in any way.

how to use your privileges card

Ensure the venue you want to visit is in the Privileges directory or on our website and note any special conditions.

Also note that, unless otherwise indicated, your card:

  1. cannot be used in conjunction with any other special discount offer, or customer loyalty/reward program
  2. is only valid for goods and services purchased directly from participating venues, and not through a third party; for example a booking agent
  3. cannot be used to generate benefits redeemable for cash or for credits towards other goods or services
  4. can be used at participating venues as often as you like, unless otherwise specified, during its validity period
  5. can be cancelled by Privileges, without prior notice, if there is evidence of misuse or where the hospitality of participating venues is being abused.

at tourist attractions and theatres

Present your card at the ticket window when buying your ticket(s). Please note that at some attractions that offer a family pass (particularly if you have more than two children), the cost of purchasing such a pass may have no greater benefit than using your Privileges Card.

at restaurants

Please present your card before your bill is prepared, so staff can save time and reduce your account by the appropriate amount, without having to do a recalculation. In some cases, a restaurant may not provide a discount if the card is presented after the bill has been calculated.

Please note that, unless otherwise indicated:

  1. a maximum of two cards is allowed per table
  2. your card is not valid on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter Sunday and Public Holidays
  3. your card is not valid for take-away or set-price menus, unless otherwise stated
  4. only one bill will be issued per table.

. . . where a percentage discount applies

The bill, covering the cardholder and a specified number of guests will be reduced by a fixed percentage. Where the number of guests at a table is greater than that covered by the card, the restaurant will:

  • divide the total bill by the number of diners at the table to calculate a per head cost
  • then multiply that per head amount by the number of people covered by the card (usually four if one card is used, and eight if two cards are used)
  • reduce the resulting amount by the allowable percentage
  • then add the reduced amount in relation to people covered by the card to the total per head cost of number of people not covered by the card(s).

Please note that unless otherwise specified, the discount does not apply in circumstances where only beverages are purchased.

. . . where a free main course is offered

If identically priced main courses are ordered, your card entitles you to one of them for free, while the other one must be paid for.

Where unequally priced main courses are ordered, the least expensive one is free.

If a table of four (or more) has one card between them, the least expensive main course ordered by the group would be free. If two cards were presented in this case, then the two lowest priced main courses ordered by the group would be free.

Please note:

  1. at least one other person must be dining with you in order to take advantage of the 'Two for One' offer
  2. only one free main course will be made available per Card per visit
  3. unless otherwise stated, the 'Two for One' offer does not apply to set-price menus or banquets
  4. a child's serving or entree size meal is not regarded as a main course, and unless otherwise stated, neither are purchases from supper menus.

Remember to present your card before your bill is prepared, to ensure that you get your Privileges discount.
